When it comes to travel, some of us start to get panicked and nervous ,especially when it’s our first flying experience, the crowd at airports, long lines, baggage checking, unfriendly security guards who are ready to get into our nerves in various ways, all of these might make us worry, but some airports are ready to alleviate that by offering travelers various entertainments while waiting their flights.

in today’s article we want to point out a nice way of alleviating nervous at airports that we have recently seen inside Hamad international airport in Qatar.

Art inside airports

As we always say in most of our articles, art beautifies everything, and bring life to the places, it wakes the curious part of the mind to wonder and try to understand what it’s observing and seeing.

However, finding art inside middle east airports is heartwarming, and it’s a good gesture to decrease the stress that such places cause, grabbing people’s attentions in the most overcrowded areas to give them a moment of peace and quietness.

About the artist

The sculpture was mad by a very recognizable American artist who has gained a good reputation through his artistic journey and career both internationally and locally ,kaws is known for his giant marionettes sculptures, and has started as a graffiti artist, therefore he discovered his tendency to sculpture art with mixing it with pop culture and began to create his cartoon characters and get involved more to that sort of art in which has connected him to get his own very unique art style.

About SMALL LIE

An oversize Afrormosia wooden sculpture that gives you a feeling of warmth, bending as if it’s ready to give you a hug and a sensation of consolation.

It’s weighing in at 15 tonnes and standing 32 feet tall,and with this huge size, standing Infront of it gives you the feeling of being very small but yet protected by this giant character.

The art work is located in the north node near concours E, and billions of travelers will be able to see it as an aim to inspire people whom are flying through the airport and transfer art out galleries to places like airports.

نحتكذبة صغيرة « سمايل لاي« :مطار حمد الدولي في قطر

عندما يتعلق الأمر بالسفر قد يشعر البعض منا بالتوتر,خصوصا إذا كانت تعد هذه أول تجربة سفر جوي لنا,إزدحام المطارات,تفقد الأمتعة,حراس المطارات الغير ودودين الذين يكونون مستعدين لأزعاجنا بطرق متعددة,كل تلك الأمور قد تشعرنا بالقلق,ولكن بعض المطارات مستعدة لأن تخفف كل ذلك من خلال توفير طرق مختلفة لتسلية المسافرين أثناء إنتظار رحلاتهم.

في مقالنا اليوم نود أن نشير إلي طريقة جميلة لتخفيف التوتر في المطارات والتي شاهدناها مؤخرا داخل مطار حمد الدولي في قطر.

الفن داخل المطارات

كما نقول دائما في مقالاتنا,الفن يُجَّمل كل شئ ويُعيد الحياة للمكان ,إنه يوقظ الجزء الفضولي من العقل ليتسأل ويحاول أن يفهم مايراه.

إن أمر إيجاد الفن داخل مطارات الشرق الأوسط لشئ مفرح للقب,وتعد بادرة جيدة لتخفيف الضغط الذي يسببه مثل تلك الأماكن,إنتزاع إنتباه الناس في أكثر الأماكن ازدحاما لمنحهم لحظة من السلام والهدوء.

عن الفنان

تم نحت التمثال من قبل فنان ومصمم أمريكي مشهور جدا,والذي كسب سمعة جيدة عبر رحلته ومهنته الفنية وذلك علي النطاق المحلي وكذلك الدولي.

يعرف الفنان قَوس بتماثله الضخمة,وقد بدء كفنان جرافيتي ومن هنا اكتشف ميوله لفن النحت مع مزجه مع الثقافة الشعبية وبدء بصنع شخصياته الكرتونية ثم انخرط أكثر لذلك النوع من الفن والذي أوصله إلي إمتلاك أسلوبه الفني الفريد.

عن تمثال « سمال لاي« 

منحوت كبير الحجم مصنوع من الخشب الأفرورميسيا,يُعطيك هذا المنحوت شعور من الدفء وهو مُنحني كما لو أنه مستعد لمنحك حضن وإحساس من التعزية أو السلوان .

يوزن ما يقارب 15طن بطول32قدما,وبهذا الحجم الضخم,الوقوف أمامه يمنحك شعور بالصغر ولكن أيضا بالحماية من قبل هذه الشخصية الضخمة.

يقع العمل الفني في المنطقة الشمالية داخل المطار وبإمكان الملاين من المسافرين رؤيته,والهدف من ذلك هو إلهام المسافرين عبر ذلك المطار,ونقل الفن خارج المعارض الفنية إلي أماكن مثل المطارات.
