Saeed Khalifa : An Emirati digital photographer influencer

Saeed Khalifa was born in Dubai in 1989, showing an artistic interest when he was a kid, he was able to try various sort of Arts by learning and practicing, and with a mind that was full of imagination and dreams, he sought for inspirations in different ways such as watching Cartoons, drawing Manga, and various means that have helped him to reach this artistic level.

Saeed has studied marketing at the University of Dubai, he is a self-taught artist who managed to create a special artistic style in which distinguishes him from other Emirati artists.

Besides photography, Saeed is also a graphic painter, however, it seems that he concentrates on photography more, as his digital photography artworks are more famous and known than painting.

He has gained a well artistic position during his artistic career, and his artworks are noticed and displayed in various galleries inside the middle east.

Artistic style and theme in Saeed’s works

Saeed’s artistic style can’t be determined by one definition, the range of creativity in which he’s striving to offers to his audience is wide, still, it’s clear that Saeed’s artworks relate to the surrealistic part, showing worrisome and disturbing emotions through every piece of artworks in very odd ways.

His artistic theme illustrates the human body following various organic objects in which are presented as part of the body, snakes, flowers, Butterflies and more, Leaving the spectator freedom to define what he sees in front of him, to make his own story based the artwork itself, to be part of the piece of art.

Saeed uses various methods to make the artworks, he doesn’t rely in one specific technique, his artworks process is done by mixture of artistic ways, starting from studio photography, traditional photography to digital painting.

Some of his artworks describe a state of suffocation, detachment of reality, and rebellion as well, but the impressive part is the fact that there’s a sense of tranquility within each artwork of him, in which I find that it gives the spectator a feeling of calmness despite the dark side that might occurs.

Exhibition and Activities in Dubai

Saeed has participated in several artistic activities, he had his first solo show in 2011 inside Dubai, in which the title was “Fabula”, he also has showcased his artworks in a group shows at Tashkeel.

In 2014, Saeed received an important prize in which gave him an opportunity to showcase his artworks at Sabrina Amrani gallery in Madrid, and this was his first artistic activity outside the region.

Artistic inspiration

In interview with Saeed, he mentioned what inspires him through his artistic journey saying “I’m a natural dreamer, so imagination goes all the way and overlaps reality for me, life hits me in the face all the time, so this absurd of combination of both, I find inspiration in photography, other’s work, but ultimately, it’s what happens to me that makes me go for it when creating”.

He has done a series of self-portrait in which he was his own muse, by manipulating photos of his own face, he created a character that described different states and emotions of the same face and person.

His artworks were featured in several local magazines and he’s been an important influencer to the Dubai artistic community and on social media as well.

وُلد المصور سيد خليفة في دبي عام 1989,مٌظهرا إهتمامات فنية منذ صغره,استطاع تجربة أنواع متعددة من الفنون من خلال التعلم والتطبيق,وبعقل كان ممتلئا بالخيال والأحلام كان يسعي للإلهامات بطرق متنوعة مثل مشاهدة الكارتون ورسم المانجا« الأنمي« وكذلك عبر وسائل عديدة التي ساعدته للوصول لهذه المرحلة الفنية.

تعلم سيد خليفة التسويق في جامعة دبي,وهو يُعد فنان متعلم ذاتي استطاع أن يخلق أسلوب فني خاص يميزه عن الفنانين الإماراتين الأخرين.

إلي جانب التصوير,يٌعتبر سيد رسام جرافيك ولكنه يركز أكثر علي التصوير حيث أن معظم أعماله المشهورة هي التصوير الرقمي.

أكتسب مركز فني جيد أثناء مهنته الفنية وتم ملاحظة أعماله وعرضها في معارض مختلفة داخل الشرق الأوسط.

الأسلوب والموضوع الفني في أعمال سيد

لا يمكن تحديد أسلوب سيد الفني من خلال تعريف واحد,حيث أن نطاق إبداعه الذي يسعي لمنحه لجمهوره واسع,ولكن الأمر الواضح في أعماله هو ميلها للجانب السريالي,مبدية مشاعر من القلق والإزعاج بطريقة غريبة.

يٌصور موضوعه الفني جسد الإنسان,مٌرافقا أمور عضوية مختلفة والتي يتم تمثيلها كجزء من الجسد ذاته,بدءا من الثعابين,فراشات,ورود والمزيد,تاركا للمشاهد حرية تعريف مايراه أمامه وخلق قصته الخاصة بناء علي العمل الفني ذاته,وأن يكون جزءا منه .

يستخدم سيد طرق متنوعة لإنشاء العمل الفني,فهو لا يعتمد علي أسلوب واحد محدد,تتم أعماله الفنية بمزج وسائل فنية متعددة,بدءا من استوديو التصوير,التصوير التقليدي حتي التصوير الرقمي.

تقوم بعضاً من أعماله بوصف حالات من الإختناق والإنفصال عن الواقع وكذلك التمرد,لكن الجانب المدهش هو الإحساس بالسكينة الذي يتوجد داخل كل عمل فني له,والذي أظن,أنه يمنح المشاهد شعورا بالطمأنينة رغم الجانب المظلم الذي قد يظهر فيه.

معارض وأنشطة داخل دبي

شارك سيد في العديد من الأنشطة الفنية,فقد قام بأول معرض فردي له عام2011في دبي والذي كان يحمل عنوان « فابولا« كما أنه عرض أعماله الفنية في معرض جماعي داخل معرض تشكيل.

عام2014,استقبل سيد جائزة مهمة,حيث منحته فرصة عرض أعماله في معرض صابرينا عمراني في مدرير,وقد كانت هذ أول نشاط فني له خارج المنطقة.

الوحي الفني

في مقابلة مع سيد,أشار إلي مايُلهم رحلته الفنية قائلا « إنني حالم بطبيعتي,لذلك يتدخل الخيال مع الواقع بالنسبة لي,تلكمني الحياة في وجهي طوال الوقت,وهذه سخافة من الإثنين,إنني أجد الوحي في التصوير وأعمال الأخرين ولكن في النهاية,إن مايحدث معي هو مايجعلني أقوم بالفن « .

قام بسلسلة من التصوير الشخصي حيث أنه كان نفسه بمثابة الإلهام,ومن خلال التلاعب بصور وجهه الخاصة أنشأ شخصية تُظهر حالات ومشاعر مختلفة لنفس الوجه والشخصية.

تم عرض أعماله في العديد من المجالات المحلية,ويٌعد مؤثرا مهما لمجتمع دبي الفني وأيضا علي مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي.
