If you are accustomed like us to frequent the gigantic malls of Dubai (especially the Dubai Mall, obviously), you are certainly used to see pop-up stores. These ephemeral shops all more beautiful and extravagant each other that often put forward a product or a collection that the brand concerned wishes to highlight.
This was the case here where the brand we really like Montblanc (See for example our collaboration in New York) contacted us to perform a live demonstration of graffiti in its pop-up store dedicated to travel and in particular on the various products of luggages available for sale. And it was not about making a graffiti like the others because the support imagined by the brand was very original : The graffiti artist had to paint directly on a wall consisting solely of suitcases superimposed on each other to create a wall . An original street art performance that also gives birth to a limited series of products signed by the hand of the artist and then available for sale in the various boutique MontBlanc in Dubai.
An intervention over several days where the artist took the time to finalize each piece and work all the details of his work. Each suitcase has been covered with the colors of the flag of the United Arab Emirates and a Skyline from Dubai has been represented. This create a composition very representative of the city where the most expert eyes can recognize and read the names of different monuments of the city and symbols.
A very original and up-to-date operation that did not leave indifferent the Dubai Mall visitors who did not hesitate to stop and take the time to visualize the work being born and also to get in touch with the artist who was also available to personalize pieces with calligraphy or initials.
