Maison Bedouin: A Soul of origin and creativity

Located in Paris at 115 Aboukir Street 75002, and founded by two Franco-Comorian cousins, who have an Arabic root, the Association provides elegant handmade leather gloves that were made by using only natural materials.

The company’s main goal is to maintain the ancestral heritage and technique by taking them further with mixing them with modernity in very stylish ways, and despite the fact that it considered to be a new born association, still, it has managed to present good quality products that show a profession and creativity job.

It offers various sort of Gloves, starting from winter Gloves to sports gloves as well, the association is working on growing, and has collaborated with various associations inside and outside Paris.

Reviving the memory of the ancestry through Art

For these two Franco-Comorian founders, it’s not about only creating good quality Gloves or caps, it also has to be connected to the origin of the past, back then, when man was able to create elegant pieces of art by only using simple and yet noble, natural materials and his own two hands.

To provide classy products that are made by both old and new techniques and hold a sensation of elegancy, it’s indeed a big challenge for some modern companies and they might not be ready to take the risk, however, Maison Bedouin has dared to make it happen, and succeeded in it with its love to be creative and wanting to belong to its origin through Art.

Hand-crafted and good quality products

What gives this association a distinctive feature, is its striving for supporting handmade works, by offering talents hands the chance to express creativity in very unique way.

The association is known for its partnership with Artists from different countries, it has collaborated with Comorian Calligrapher-painter artists on several projects.

Maison Bedouin collects the using materials from different places, such as the Middle East, East Africa islands and South America, and this contributes on giving the association a well-Reputation as a high-quality and elegant Brand.

The Kofiya Cap: back to patrimony and tradition

Combining the Comorian tradition with the Arabic Culture, Maison Bedouin lunched a Cap in which does not resemble regular Caps, holding a Swahili name “Kofiya”, and a unique design that relate to origin and heritage, the Cap maintains a special and an impressive feature, it was made from vary materials, but the interesting part is that the other side of the Kofiya Cap is made by a hand-braided raffia, in which old women used to use in creating traditional Rugs, Basket, and Hats in Comoros and Madagascar.

The two founders have also mentioned that the brown color in which occurs in several places in the Cap, was an inspiration of an incense Tree in South Arabia (Sultanate of Oman and South Yemen).

The association has collaborated with Brands inside Dubai, and managed to find a home for its creations in the City.

In 2018, Maison Bedouin had a partnership with the O Concept Store, in which was a good opportunity for the company to be presented to the region.

إحياء ذاكرة الأسلاف من خلال الفن

بالنسبة للمؤسيسين ذوي الجنسية القمرية–الفرنسية إن الأمر لا يتعلق بإنشاء قفزات فحسب,بل يتوجب أن يرتبط بأصالة الماضي ,حيث كان المرء حينها قادر علي إنشاء تٌحَف فنية من خلال إستخدام أدوات بسيطة لكنها جيدة,وأيضا أدوات طبيعية بيديه الإثنتين .

تٌعرف المؤسسة بشاراكتها مع فنانين من دول مختلفة,وقد قامت بالمشاركة مع خطاط ورسام من جزر القمر في العديد من المشاريع .

طاقية الكوفية:العودة إلي التراث والتقليد

مع جمع مابين التراث القمري والثقافة العربية,أصدرت ميزون بيدوين طاقية والتي لا تشبه النوع العادي منها,حاملة إسم سواحيلي « كوفية« وتصميم فريد يعود للأصالة والتراث,تحتفظ الطاقية بملامح خاصة ومثيرة للإهتمام,وتم صنعها من العديد من الأدوات,لكن الأمر المدهش في الموضوع هو أن الجانب الأخر من الكوفية مصنوعة بالرافية المظفورة يدويا والتي اعتادت العجائز علي استخامها في صنع السجادات,السلة والقبعات التقليدية في دولة جزر القمر ومدغشقر.

وقد أشار المؤسسين إلي أن اللون البني الذي يظهر في مواقع متعددة علي الكوفية كان إلهام من قبل شجرة عطرية متوجدة في جنوب الجزيرة العربية « سلطانة عمان وجنوب اليمن.

تعاونت الشركة مع علامات تجارية داخل دبي,واستطاعت أيضا الحصول علي مكان لأعمالها وعرضها للبيع داخل المدينة .

ففي عام 2018عقدت ميزون بيدوين شراكة مع محل O Concept والتي كانت فرصة جيدة للشركة لتقديمها للمنطقة.
