Sketch Studio Dubai : More than Art

As an artist, it’s not always easy to find a space where you can feel like home or to belong, you might even find it harder to create an environment where artists can have the opportunity to gather and explore their talents.

Some societies still consider painting or drawing a “wasting of time” which means that it shouldn’t be taken so serious or spend too much time on it, adding to the fact that they might not help artists who are seeking for a stand to share what they have with the world by funding their projects or interfere in any other ways.

However, several artists have managed to change this idea by showing people that art is a significant act to humankind’s life in general and to creative minds specifically by creating their environment.

It’s all about Exploration :

“I hope to give our visitors the chance and space to explore their creativity”: said the founder of sketch studio Mattar Ben Lahej, an Emirati painter, photographer and sculptor who was born in (1968), he’s a self-taught artist who values the importance of discovering one’s talent and hidden invention, and his main goal is to create a safe and peaceful environment where there’s no limit of creations when it comes to art.

In an interview with Mattar Ben Lahej, he mentioned the lack of support that society has toward artists.

And having this studio is like a chance to open the doors to artists and encourage them to create more art and have fun during the processe, to enjoy the gift that they’ve got and also share that fun part with others non-artists.

An artistic Space :

the space was specifically designed to accommodate all different artistical hands and needs, to offer help to them whether they are painters or sculptors, professionals or beginners.

Combined with a café space, the sketch studio allows artists to paint on their coffee cups and the most liked painting that is voted by the majority of visitors will be chosen to be printed on cups and it will be considered “the painting of the month”.

And they’ll make sure to present the artist to others on social medias which I find an interesting and a significant way of appreciation.

It also organizes art-workshops which lot of artists participate as an opportunity to improve their skills and to get deeper into that field, learning different styles from different artists.

ENRICHING DUBAI’S CREATIVE AND TALENTS:

The studio’s aim is to discover new creative minds and to increase the ability of having more local artists by getting them and inviting theme into the studio where they have the right to make mistakes and learn through theme, the right to be who they want to be without having any trouble of acceptance or be misunderstood by others.

It’s important for a city like Dubai to have these sorts of art spaces that will hold the sensation of art, a platform which has a remarkable impact on artists’ lives in positive and creative ways.

ستوديو سكتش أو « ستوديو الرسم« في دبي

كفنان,فإن أمر العثور علي مكان تشعر فيه بالإنتماء أو كأنه منزلا لك ليس بالأمر الهين ,وقد تجد صعوبة أكثر في خلق بيئة خاصة حيث يمكن للفنانين أمثالك إمتلاك فرصة التجمع للكشف عن مواهبهم.

لا يزال ممارسة الرسم يٌعد« مضيعة للوقت« في بعض المجتمعات مما يعني « بالنسبة لهم« أنه لا يتوجب أن يؤخذ علي محمل الجد أو تضيع الكثير من الوقت عليه,إضافة الي أن تلك المجتمعات قد لا تساعد الفنانين الذين يبحثون عن منصة لمشاركة مالديهم مع العالم أو التمويل في مشارعهم الفنية والتدخل بأي طريقة كانت لتوفير المساعدة.

ولكن بعض الفنانين نجحوا في تغير هذه الفكرة من خلال إظهار وفرض أهمية الفن لحياة الإنسان بشكل عام ولحياة ذوي العقول الإبداعية والفنية بشكل خاص من خلال خلق بيئة خاصة بهم.

إن الأمر كله يتعلق بالإكتشاف:

« أتمني أن أوفر لزوارنا الفرصة والمساحة للكشف عن إبداعهم« :هكذا قال مؤسس « ستوديو سكتش » :مطر بن لاحج,إنه رسام,مصور ونحات إماراتي,متعلم ذاتي ومولود في عام « 1968 ».

إن الهدف الرئيسي لمطر بن لاحج هو خلق بيئة أمن ومسالم حيث لا يوجد فيها أي حدود للإبداع عندما يتعلق الأمر بالفن ,فهو يُقَّدر أهمية إكتشاف الشخص عن مواهبه الخاصة وإبداعاته المدفونة وكذلك توفير مكان ما ليعبّر عن تلك الأفكار.

وفي مُقابلة أُجْرِيت معه أشار إلي عدم وجود الدعم الكافي والمطلوب من المجتمع للفنانين,وأنّ إمتلاك هذه المنصة الفنية يعد بمثابة فٌرصة جيدة لفتح أبوابها للفنانين وتشجيعهم علي خلق المزيد من الفن مع إدخال عنصر المرح أثناء العملية برِّمتها,وكذلك الإستمتاع بتلك الهبة التي يمتلكونها ومشاركتها مع غير الفنانين.

مساحة فنًّية:

تم تصميم المنصة وإعدادها لتستقبل جميع الأيادي الفنية المختلفة وإحتياجاتها,لتُوّفر لهم المساعدة سواء كانوا رسامين أو نحاتين,متخصصين أم مجرد مبتدئين .

وبدَمْج المقهي داخل الاستديو فأنه يسمح أيضا للفنانين أن يرسموا علي أكواب القهوة الخاصة بهم,ويتم إختيار الرسمة الأكثر تصويتًا من قِبل الزوار لتكون رسمة الشَّهر,مع الحرص علي تقديم الفنان الذي قام برسمها للأخرين عبر مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي,وهذه طريقة أعتبرها مثيرة للإهتمام ومهمة لتقدير موهبة الرسام شخصيا.

إلي جانب كل ذلك يتم تنظيم ورشات عمل فنية حيث يشارك فيها العديد من الفنانين كفرصة لتحسين أدائهم الفنية ودراسة أساليب جديدة من قبل فنانين أخرين .

إثراء مواهب دبي وإبداعها الفنية:

إن هدف الإستوديو هو الكشف عن العقليات الإبداعية الجديدة والتزويد من قدرة الحصول علي المزيد من الفنانين المحليين من خلال إدخالهم ودعوتهم إلي الاستوديو حيث يكون لديهم الحرية والحق في ارتكاب الأخطاء والتعلم من خلالها,الحق بأن يكونوا مايريدون دون أن يواجههم مشكلة عدم تقبلهم أو سوء فهمهم بأي طريقة كانت.

إنه أمر مهم لمدينة مثل دبي أن تمتلك تلك النوعية من المساحات الفنية التي تحمل في حوزتها الحس الفني,ومنصة فنية تؤثر علي حياة الفنانين بطرق إبداعية وإيجابية .
